Steps to Treatment

When treatment is required, there are four steps that have to be taken before any appliances are placed on the teeth. These steps include:
  • Records
    • X-Rays
    • Photos
    • Plaster Models
  • Diagnosis
  • Treatment Planning
  • Treatment Conference

These four information gathering and planning steps are necessary to insure the success of treatment as well as the understanding and cooperation of the patient and family.

Every effort made to arrange appointments during times which are convenient for our patients. Since the majority of our patients are of school age, the patient should expect to miss some classes during their orthodontic treatment.

Appointments before 9:00 a.m. and after 3:00 p.m. will be reserved for short visits to see as many students / adults as possible before school / work. Longer visits for placement and removal of braces will have to be scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Appointments are required every 4 to 8 weeks for the duration of the treatment. Evening and limited Saturday appointments are available.

Braces
